Today’s artist OneCleverFox says:
“Honestly, I was working at GameStop talking to a regular customer of mine when. We started talking about nostalgic things of the past and the game came up. Then I had another customer who came in with a ton of super hero game trades and that’s where I got the idea. I thought of the squirrel squad with super powers like the power rangers which eventually turned into pika-flash. The lightening bolt tail was a dead giveaway to a flash homage.”
gourmetgaming: Leechade (Bastion cocktail)
Ingredients:
1 Measure Advocaat
1 Measure Dry London Gin
0.5 Measure Triple Sec
0.5 Measure Blue Curaçao
Top Up Cloudy Lemonade
Lemon Wedge GarnishDirections: The kid mixed all the ingredients in a round jar, or lowball glass, and garnished the drink with a lemon wedge and twist.
A note from the creator:
Bastion was the impressive and visually stunning Indie hit of 2011, if you’ve not played it yet I recommend you pick it up right away on Xbox Live, Steam or Google Chrome! One of the most awesome things about the game is the Distillery where The Kid can choose all sorts of interesting potions to help him on his journey. Each one has a unique effect, taste and appearance – I just wish I had the amazing bottles to do each spirit justice. “Leechade’s so sour, it’ll perk you right up when you’re feeling low”.

I made this a couple of years ago for Cory Godby’s Where the Wild Things Are tribute blog Terrible Yellow Eyes, it seemed appropriate to put it up today.

Albert Camus (1913-1960) was a French-Algerian philosopher starting the movement known as absurdism. With his highly successful works like The Stranger, The Rebel, and The Fall, Camus was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1957, only three years before his death, making him the shortest lived Nobel winner. Not only was he an incredibly influential and intelligent man, he wasn’t too bad on the eyes either.
